Welcome guide makes new beginnings easier
Did you know that upon your arrival in the Czech Republic you are obliged to register with the Foreign Police? And that you should always carry your health insurance card on you?
All that and more you will learn from the new Welcome to Brno Guide for Expats. This 30-page brochure was put together by the BEC team and published by the City of Brno Strategy Office.
The City of Brno is keen to integrate foreigners who come here to work at international companies and research centres.
“I believe the guide will help people to orientate themselves in Brno. We would like if it saved their time so that they could pursue their work and discover local points of interest,” said Jaklub Rybář from the City of Brno Strategy Office.
The guide sums up the obligations and needs of newcomers as well as possibilities open to them. You can learn about such things as residency requirements, health insurance, public transport, and schooling. It also offers tips for trips, basic information about Brno and emergency phone numbers.
The Welcome to Brno Guide for Expats will be handed out at welcome seminars for new employees in our partner companies. It will also be given to each new client at the Brno Expat Centre. Only the hard copy contains a voucher for 60 minutes of assistance anywhere you need an interpreter or consultant. So pop in for a visit!
