BEC Christmas party: the Gourmet Edition

The BEC team are happy to invite you to our annual pre-Christmas gettogether, to enjoy some winter charm and good company, meet and chat and share a nice time.

This year, inspired by our wonderful Tourist Information Centre plan to highlight the splendid Gourmet Brno showcase of Brno’s best cafés, restaurants, bars, pubs, bistros and confectioneries in the Old Town Hall courtyard, making it a foodie’s paradise during the Christmas markets (just like we do during our annual Brno Expat Fair), we have decided to hold our annual December event right in the heart of it all and use it as a presentation of the most typical delicacies that grace the Czech and Moravian tables during Christmas time.

All this, in the charming historical chambers of the Old Town Hall and accompanied by an insightful commentary, explaining the traditional, quirky or indispensable behind the goodies.

But even if you’re not a foodie or a history buff, and you just like to be around good people, we look forward to meeting you and listening to your impressions, ideas, complaints or suggestions that would help you and also us to make Brno and even better place to live for expats or anyone around.

The time schedule is following:

17:00 – open doors
17:20 – TIC Brno presentation of the “Brno Christmas” project and the Gourmet market
18:00 – a short introduction about traditional Czech Christmas dishes, followed by tasting
19:00 – Czech Christmas quiz

The historical rooms of the Old Town Hall are accessible via a staircase directly from the town hall courtyard. Simply pass underneath the illuminated Brno Dragon and turn left.
