School enrolment explained: a video
The deadline for submitting primary school applications is 30 April, and for kindergartens, it is 4 May. We invited a primary education expert and experienced advisor, Martina Kurowski from Vicinis, to explain the enrolment process.
You can watch an interview with her. In the video, she focuses on:
- the explanation of the Czech school system,
- the process of registration to a primary school,
- the concept of catchment schools (and why there’s no need to worry about it),
- the dates to remember.

(Martina talks for some 15 min; for the rest of the time in the video, she answers questions from the audience).
