Revenue stamps obsolete. Administrative fees paid differently from 2025

Revenue stamps, kolky, will no longer be used as payment for administrative fees as of 1 January 2025. All issued stamps will expire at the end of December.

What to do with the stamps you have at home?

Unused and undamaged stamps can be returned to one of the authorised branches of the post office, untill 31 December 2024.

The redemption fee is 5% of the nominal value of the stamp. It’s necessary to request the redemption in writing and present proof of identity (ID card, passport or residence permit). Your written request should simply state “the number of revenue stamps, divided into groups by face values, and the total number of stamps in each group; your name and surname and exact address, and your signature to certify the receipt of the payment.

How to pay administrative fees at the Ministry of Interior office from January 2025?

Administrative fees will be paid by bank transfer. Their online portal (ipc.gov.cz) will generate payment details. Another option will be to pay the fee at the MOI office by credit card. It won’t be possible to pay in cash.

For applications submitted by post, payment by revenue stamps will be accepted only till 31 December 2024. If the application is delivered to the MOI later than 31 Dec 2024, the payment won’t be accepted.
