A New Community Garden: Accepting Members
Do you love gardening? Are you an English speaker and haven’t dared to rent your own garden yet? Join the new Czech-English community garden in Brno!
Organised by Vicinis, supported by the Brno Expat Centre.
Welcome to a place where nature, people and inspiration come together. Our community garden is located between the Brno-Lesná and Brno-Královo Pole districts, and it is not just about growing fruit and vegetables. It’s a place where you can make new friends, learn something new and have an unforgettable time with people who share your love of gardening and the outdoors.
You will learn about the Czech concept of garden allotments, you will be able to rent your own beds and co-create the whole garden concept with us. In the future, we will also be able to offer you support from a native Czech speaker in dealing with gardeners’ associations so that you can rent your own garden.
Why should you join our project?
- Create your own piece of nature in a hectic urban environment and experience the joy of gardening.
- Learn how to properly recycle bio-waste and how to fertilise naturally.
- Gain knowledge about gardening, ecology and the food cycle.
- Share your experiences with others and expand your gardening abilities.
- Our garden is a free place you can book for meetings with friends, or just for yourself for a moment of silence in the middle of the woods.
What can you expect?
- Shared beds: get your own piece of the garden and take part in its appearance and development.
- A friendly environment: Our members are here to help and support you on your gardening journey.
- Coordinated support: Our experienced coordinators are here to ensure the garden runs smoothly and to your satisfaction.
- A location close to a beautiful children’s woodland playground. We also welcome families with children.
Sign up and become part of our gardening community. Together, we will create a place where not only plants grow, but friendships also!
